Hiya I am building my own tank from acrilic
The dimenthions are going to be 10ftx2.5ftx2ft so big.
It will be made out off acrilic anybody got any tips ideas notes and ways I could do it
And the best place to get cheep acrilic in the uk

I don't know what is available in the UK, but I'd get ahold of a plastic supplier in the nearest large city. See what sheet sizes you can get, and don't go with the cheapest brand. You will need to bong the acrylic together and the better brands will pay big dividends when it comes time to hold water for 20 years plus. In the US Polycast is the best brand for consistency. Weld On products for the cement, and for your application, you should look at the Weld On 40 or 42. With that foot print, you should be looking at least 3/4" if not 1" for the body. 3/4" for the top and bottom panels. If you have little to no experience with acrylic fabrication, I would urge you to build a sump or a small tank first. I have been call upon to save a home build more than a few times. Most were total failures, and ended up costing way more than would have cost t have me build it in the first place. Education is never cheap! Good luck, my friend, J

Thanks for that but I am good at building glass tanks so thought I better give acrilic a go

Being good at building glass tanks? Acrylic is a way different animal than building a glass tank. You need precision machined edges for bonding. A few thousandths out, and you will not have a solid bond. It might hold for a week, or a month, but at some point you will have 350 gallons of water on your floor. If you can't pay the tab for even the plastic, then your in the wrong hobby. Good luck, wanker!
