I have a 55 gallon tank. I am wanting to do a sump less set up. I will be setting everything up in the next week or two. Still debating the sump somewhat. I have been researching and researching to make sure everything is done correctly. My goal is a reef tank with only very hardy easy to care for corals for first year. My wife and I only want 3 or 4 fish and some inverts. We are new to saltwater but are old pros at freshwater. Have a 110 planted in my wife's office lobby and a 150 planted in our den. Any advice would be very welcome.

Welcome to R2R! My advice is to do the sump. here's why: Without a sump you will have less water volume to dilute any mistakes & You'll have lots of equipment cluttering up the back wall. There are more reasons, but that's all I got right this second.
