New tank

I have a 10 gallon saltwater tank all setup and a 40 gallon above it that's cycling but the 10 gallon is good I put reef salt in my 40 gallon tank and I was wondering how long it will take? And how can I lower my nitrates because it high? The tank has been been cycling for about 1 week and 2 days

No3's (Nitrates) are in this stage not so important what are your ammonia and nitrite levels?
Cycling sometimes can take up to a month or more, it all depends how you do it and what do you use.

 

[Reeferfourlife]

+1 on other paramters is more important at this stage for a new tank setup.
