I finally finished cycling my new tank what should be my next step? Should I buy corals and vertebrates before I put fish in?

First of all, Welcome to R2R!!! Can you give us some info on your tank(size, lighting, equipment). Is a reef tank, mixed tank, or fish tank? We’re here to help

Cleanup crew, just a few to start.

Then some fish to get it established.

Once you get some fish in there you can start adding corals.

That's just a general outline. It really depends on the size of the tank, filtration, etc.

i agree CUC first. Then a few fish to make sure the bacteria can handle, then some corals once all has been stable for a while. I would caution against adding corals too soon. All of us want a beautiful reef right away, but those that are most successful have patience. Its a marathon not a sprint. Good luck with it!

Welcome. Great looking tank. I like the way you have your rock work set up. I gotta agree with what's been said. Do you have a plan for your corals? Softies, LPS, SPS...?

Hi, I’m new to reefing and also have a BioCube 32 we are on week 2 cycling and things are looking pretty wild. Just wanted to get some experience, strength, and hope as I reassure the wife and kids this is perfectly normal. My son and I are super excited about this hobby/journey. I’ve been diving for a few years and this is like having a little part of the ocean in our house every day

Happy reefing your tank looks good. Welcome I love my bio cube 32 it’s the best tank to start off.

I’m glad. With so many options and being brand new to reef tanks it seemed like the best starter tank. This waiting is not so easy especially when the tank looks like the swamp

CuC and fish can be added at the same time if you want. Just make sure to take it slow on both. Too fast on fish will be more ammonia than your tank can handle. Too fast on CuC and there won't be enough for them to eat. Depending on the coral and setup of your tank they can also be added. Just take things slow, research everything before you add them.

Thanks for the feedback. We are going to take this slow. When the tank finishes cycling I’m talking the family up about adding a CUC. Eventually two clowns and gobys and accompanying shrimp. At different times and when the levels seem to level out after a new addition. Does that sound right?

Shrimp wait until after a month or so of the tank being cycled. Clowns can be added first as a pair. For the CuC I recommend going to reefcleaners.org and getting the 10 gallon package with hermits to start. Should be more than enough until you add more fish. If algae starts being a problem you can add more snails from your LFS that didn't come in that package to keep things diverse.
