If $$ is an issue (as it is for most of us

) why not use a rubbermaid type tube?
I have a stock tank I could put them in, if I had somewhere in doors to put the stock tank. I wasn't kidding when I said I gave up most my kitchen to my tank. My home has less than 1000sq of living space and the majority of that is occupied by computer equipment I can't risk exposing to saltwater.
Actual FLOOR space, i.e. not a bathroom, not a closet (I think we have two total and we don't have a basement) minus my bedroom and the office is probably around 500 square feet.
The tank is 48 inches long and I have maybe 26 inches between the end of it and my counter. I have 30x72 inches of room or so on the left and 36X 96 inches on the right and part of that is occupied by the fridge.
You can imagine how crowded my kitchen is with a 20x20 emergency tank on the floor between it, the stove and the sink. You basically have to squeeze past it.
And forget about cooking until I get it emptied and out of the way (which I should be able to do today.)
If it were spring and the nights weren't below 60 I could have put the stock tank outside and dropped a heater in it and let the corals ride on sunlight for a week or so while I get stuff fixed. But they've been without any proper light since last Saturday when all this occurred.
Now I'm off to re-do my lights. Apparently 1.5 inches in height to a tank REALLY throws off the headspace you have to work in your tank.
