New tank

Soo I got a blue damsel and a cleaner shrimp all for a discounted price to test out the tank. After almost 2 days the shrimp is feeding and active. The damsel was also doing the same but not so much now. I scooped him out and put him in a bucket with air. And he's on his side still moving and breathing. Surprised he didn't do well since there so hardy. The shrimp is still looking good tho.
Zero ammonia
Zero nitrite
10 ppm nitrate
About a 1.22-1.24 on the gravity

could just be an infection and not your fault!
Keep a close eye on your shrimpie though!
What tank do you have?

A week or more. All my days are fused into one so I think lol. The shrimp is still doing well very interactive

Ahhh, I think that would explain the quick demise of the damsel. sorry to say but the tank has not yet cycled (which can take 2-6 weeks) and not ready for livestock. Can you explain how it was setup (did u add any bacteria to jump start) including contents, i.e. live rock, sand including any pix to help?

I started with lots of live rock and live sand. Question about temp. Mines jump between 80-82 with it being hotter when the lights are on and cools down at night seem natural to me but is it OK for the tank?

those are some nice live rocks, I would ensure they are getting plenty of water flow thru them for optimal filtration.
82 is pretty high (ideally want to keep temp 79 or below), fluctuating during day then cooling is ok but What is night time temp and what is the heater set temp and what type of lighting r u using?

Thanks! I do have a mp10 I got used for a great price so I do have decent flow. The temp at night is 80 right now its 82. I keep the heater at 79 so its never on. I'm using the stock hooded lights, I was thinking of sitting a small fan on top to blow air access the top or drill hole in the hood. I can only imagine the heat after I get the second light fixture. This a fluval 32 all in one aquarium.
