New Tanks I'm Considering

Those sBox Ultra lights look pretty diesel! Are the AL Prime HD's not good? Seems like people liked them.
I had them - they were ok - they seemed to have problems - which AI quickly fixed - eventually decided after a couple repairs/replacements to go with another vendor.

Welcome to R2R!!! The bigger the water volumn the better. I also am a big supporter of multiple smaller heaters than 1 big one. Maybe 2 150w heaters vs 1 300w heater for redundancy.
Sounds like a good idea. I'll check it out.

!!! Welcome to R2R @toddfuji !!! Something that can't be forget is an ATO. That will help to keep your salinity stable.
Hi Spyder, I believe each of the tanks above have an ATO mechanism that comes with the setup. Red Sea uses a drip method with the reservoir on top of sump; while Waterbox may need to have a pump added.

Does anybody know if you need a pump for the WB ATO to work??

And BTW - in both my Red Sea tanks - the ATO did not work well. and I no longer use it.

Welcome to R2R!!!

The AB Marine 70.3 has a hybrid type cabinet sump with the filter bags up top and the sump down below. Any thoughts on this setup?

I have had just about every brand tank from Reef Savvy, Miracles, AGA, Red Sea, IM, Waterbox, and to be completely honest I love my Wasterbox out of all them. I have two Waterbox systems now including a 130.4 and my wifes new 70.3 marine you asked about. I purchased both over the last 6 months. As others have stated, get the system with the most water volume as possible. Both my WB systems come with the sump and they are just as nice as the display tanks. When looking for a new tank I physically tried to touch and feel each to appreciate the build quality and pro's and con's of each brand. In addition, there is no better feedback than that of fellow hobbyist to provide their feedback. It looks like you are doing a fair bit of research already so take your time and don't rush your decision. Good luck with the build and if I can help answer any questions on my current WB systems don't hesitate to PM me.

Welcome to R2R. I am fairly new to this forum and find it the best you will find. Great people and always willing to help.

Welcome home, you will love it here!

I am very partial to the Red Sea series, personally! Bigger is better! :)
