Hey guys.

Im getting setup and building up my new tank. Ive reached my first block, with my rock. I got my dry rock, and figured out how I wanna get it setup. But I didnt get anything to stick it together. The problem I ran into, is that I tried to use some Water Weld, but it didnt work. Now I have no idea how/what to do and im stuck. any advice/ideas to help would be amazing

Acrylic rods work pretty well. Drill the rocks then use them to hold on place.

This stuff. Can be purchased grey, white, etc. from amazon. It's a two part epoxy.

Just from ten plus years of experience. Simple is best. Stack it up so its sturdy and get the coral growing. In a few shorts years you will not see any rock.

I'll have to agree with Rhett. That's what I did (for the most part).

Steve if you'd like shoot me a PM with your phone number and location. I don't mind helping you where I can and making sure you get started on a firm foundation.

commonstrange, I very much appreciate it. I found out one of my Neighbors actually had some Marco 400 for me to use. After alot of trial and error, and coat hangers (Thanks H@rry) I was able to get started. Im in the process of Cycling now. On day 2 of adding ammonia, and Dosing Stability, but im honestly in no hurry. Excited for this long journey.

Looking good.

For the tank cycle I did a piece of raw table shrimp. I put it in a nylon bag so if would be easier to remove once cycle was complete and I started fo add fish.

I skip the cycling all together. Get live sand and rock and your good to go. :)

I backup MikeyTN. I just tore down my 90 gal and reset up after 6 months and a move. The live sand is nearly the same price as dead sand. Whipped right through the cycle in record time!
