tanks been running for about 6 months, ive had one rockflower nem in it for about 2 months and its done really well so i decided i would try for a BTA. how often do you feed them?I would just leave it alone... it will explore your tank until it finds a suitable place where it likes the lights and flow. Takes a bit of time to get used to a new environment. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn’t detach and get sucked into your powerhead. How old is your tank?
Tank should be mature enough then for your BTA. I feed it twice a week and it has gotten big. (No splits yet after 5 months).tanks been running for about 6 months, ive had one rockflower nem in it for about 2 months and its done really well so i decided i would try for a BTA. how often do you feed them?

ok i was just worried because i do have a rockflower nem and it was in the same exact spot and it got twisted up and basically tore its base structure in half. luckily it survived and now i have 2 rock flower nems in my tank because the part that tore off is now a tiny little rock flower nem lol.It is fine. They move around and will often hang their base under a shady area or crevice and then reach out towards the light (allows them to retract away if something tries to eat it)
Yeah it used to have these bubbles. Don’t see the bubbles anymore when it is fully extended. I often see them during the evening when it is preparing to sleep or when it just ate.oh man that's a beaut!! did yours have the bubble tips when u got it? ive heard a lot of the BTA's lose the bubble tips and no one really seems to know why
interesting. im running 2 kessil 160w on 60 percent power at the peak so we'll see how it goes I guess lolYeah it used to have these bubbles. Don’t see the bubbles anymore when it is fully extended. I often see them during the evening when it is preparing to sleep or when it just ate.
No real known reason to explain this indeed. IME I have seen them maintaining their bubbles more under t5 lights than LED. On the other hand it looks to be a small difference whwn my LED’s are running on more blue light.
