New to blog, returning to the hobby

Hello,

My I am Luis and I am returning to the hobby do to my kids interest in having aquariums. I had experience with both salt and fresh water tanks but decided to join to get a refresher and check out new technology since its been close to 10 years since I been in the loop. Currently working on setting up a 180 gallon reef tank and a 55 corner freshwater tank to replace an current countertop 5 gallon that is being over grown.

Well, got a good start sanding old crappie finish on canopy and stand for the 180 gallon. My oldest got a chance to get his hands dirty and help out with the project. As you can see he is excited to be working on it. Tomorrow more sanding and hopefully get to stain before the weekend is over, then we will start setting it up.

Yes, i like what I seen so far. Technology advancements have sure made stuff easier to maintain and get to enjoy the hobby a little more. Lots to learn and catch up on.
