I am looking to buy some Zoas. How many could I add in a day. I have a 37 gallon tall. This is my current tank. I have a fluval marine sea 3.0 light. Should I place them in the sand bed?

Since they are small you could add 20 frags if you wanted.

It’s less about where you put them as much as make sure you float them properly and keep them out blasting flow. I have mine at all levels of the tank. They’ll do fine wherever as long as you’re not blasting them with light or flow straight outta the gate. I’d start with low light and low flow and bring them up to where you want them to be slowly. You can see mine are all over my biocube. I even have some like 2” from the lights and they’re HUGE.

Would you say my light percentage is good, the picture of my tank only has white light just so you could see the tank.

To be honest I have no idea. My lights are stock biocube LEDs and my Zoa grow like weeds. I would imagine what you have it ok. I know a collector friend of mine who grows his under only the same color bulbs you are using and his do great. Zoas aren’t super duper picky I’ve found.

Zoas are pretty hardy. Start with a couple to see that your tank is ready.
Do you have any fish to keep the zoas fed?
Zoas are photosynthetic, but need some nutrients, fish poop.

I have 2 clowns, 6 line wrasse, coral banded shrimp.
