I was not planning on doing corals couldn’t help myself yesterday. I currently have the aqueon optibright+ led light. I wanted to know if this is adequate lighting or if I need to run and exchange the light as I’ve only had it a week so far, took the hood off and did just light above, better natural light for fish and anemone and now the coral.. if it’s a good enough light then how much white blue red etc? Thank you for your time and assistance.. currently a small damsel and 2 clown. Tank is 36 gallon now front .0126 and ph of 8.1. Lfs said that was good and of course had them test the water

For zoa you should get by with that light but will not be ideal for many other coral

If you have an anemone you will probably need a much better light to keep it alive for the long haul.

I do have an anemone. Rose bulb. I was looking at the Fluval marine 3.0 spectrum led. Would this suffice? How much lighting should I be doing? Trying to read up but it gets confusing everyone using different stuff so no sure

The problem with those fluval and coralife lights is that they dont penetrate the water very well. They have the right spectrum in most cases just not enough juice to get it down into the water column. A smatfarm LED from amazon is under 200 and would grow any coral you wanted in your 36 bowfront. Alternately a nicrew or kessil will do the same, both hover around 200 -250 dollars with mounts.

Are any of these the ones you are referring to? And is 95-100watts enough?

What corals do you have at the moment? They look well established, are you thinking of adding more or just general light enquiry

I got the whole rock from my lfs it has some sponge coral the Zoas and leather finger coral I believe it’s called and some lil bubble ones not sure the name but there is a couple at the bottom of the rock. I don’t plan on getting more just letting it grow, but I do want to get another anemone like the rainbow bubble tip eventually. I was reading up about the lighting and it was making me weary of the light I have even tho it says ok for corals and that is why I got it.. I want to make sure I have proper lighting asap

Unsure what to say, condriction comes to mind however, you can view over 20,000 posts on care via Reef2reef, I would love to share one but unfortunately I'm unsure which direction to point due to difficulty understanding your needs.
Good luck
