New to cube tanks, looking for some advice from those with experience

It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but the drain feeds the refugium and the sump and the fuge drains into the sump and then the water is taken back up through the return. I have a valve that is stopping the drain from feeding the fuge until I get some more sand.
