New to dosing pumps

Been dosing manually . Got a jebao DP4 yesterday . 1 bad head so I replaced it with the spare.

What kind of tubing do you use? Just the regular airline tubing ? Connectors , check valves? What about pump placement . Ok to set it below my tank ? Worried about it siphoning back down if done wrong

Pump placement:

Place your dosing pump above all your tubing, dosing holding tanks and discharge.

It won't siphon back if you keep that in mind.
