Hello , so I am new to dosing . I have a 125 gallon display with around 200 gallon basement sump. Until now my water changes have kept my alkalinity and calcium in check. Now with all the new sps I added my alkalinity has dropped to a 5.9 dkh and a cal of 408. I use the hanna checker. Now with that said my tank is doing very very well just not seeing the growth due to these levels. I have purchase reef fusion 1 and 2 . I also understand they need to be add 1 to 1 basically I understand the science behind their jobs. Where I get confused is the calculations of how much to add. I saw the reef fusion calculator, but the inputs are not in dkh increments. I did the conversion and it told me 135 cap fulls . This seems wrong . I want to go slow and record every 12 to 24 hours till I hit a 9 dkh and then I can figure out what my tank consumes in a day and get my daily dose. Until then tho I just want to make sure I have a good starting dose. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you sorry for the rant.

Get a graduated cylinder or cup for dosing. Not a fan of cap fulls.I ran 2 part, esv, for 2+ years on my nano, and 6 months on my new 120. Just went to a calcium reactor.
Yes you want to dose equal parts 1&2. I will look at there calculator. You can always dose say 20 mls of both wait an hour and test. Then adjust up. Go slow to get it from current levels to 9dkh.

Thank you yes I definitely this this will take awhile to get there. With that said how much should I raise in a 24 hour period?

250 gallons
According to there instructions. 38 ml 1&2 for 250 gal. Thats at 1ml per 6.5 gals. That raises cacium by 4mg's and alk by .176meg/l which is .5 dkh.
I would start there and test and adjust. They say no more than 4ml per 6.5 gals which would be a 2 dkh change and 20 ml calcium.

Thank you so much. I just have to say you all rock. Love 2r2. With that said I think I am going to increase it .5 a day and go nice and slow. Again thanks

Yes you can run carbon. You can to either your display or sump, so long as it has lots of flow.
