New to forum - questions on clownfish :)

And maybe post a close up of your lady clown so we can see it better, but it sounds like she's "nesting" that spot.

She swims freely. She chases everything that comes in her area. Everything except the cleaner shrimp. She was swimming with Pedro yesterday afternoon. Thinking maybe it is just a phase concerning her moodiness. But the color change still has me puzzled. She was swimming all over the tank this morning.

I may have a bigger issue. I'm thinking I may have Vermetid Snails on 2 of my big rocks. I noticed the string shooting out of one tube. Googling has me thinking I need to pull those two rocks from the tank.

Pulling the rock is not necessary. Just put super glue in the snail hole.

I have a ton of vermetids... if you can see my avatar pic, that's a monticap coral growing over and around all the vermetids in that area...

if they're only a few, you can just break them off with your hand or a stick like something, but be careful they are a little sharp at the tips sometimes and can cut you easily. For the most part, they are just filter feeders and dont bother my coral at all. But, i do have a ton of them and they are unsightly. You can super glue the hole like another reefer suggested .... if you keep your water pretty clean and not have too many particles floating around it starves them out...

I found a glowing tiny red dot on my rock last night. It almost looks like a dot of glitter. I placed my hand around the area to shade the light from the area and it was still glowing. (No glare) Has anyone else seen this in their tank? It is almost center with picture. [emoji15]

I ended up pulling the rock. They were all over this rock.

Thinking I may have found part of the problem in the tank. One of my cloudy damsels had been nipping the tail fins of the fire fish and clowns. One of the fire fish was injured before I caught onto the little bully. I placed the firefish in a recovery tank. The bully (Damsel) was placed in a holding box. The fish in the tank are coming out more and seem less stressed. Of course this did not fix the clown fish (Mia), but she seems to be swimming around the tank more instead of guarding her space.
