just started cycing my 39g tank w 45lbs of live rock and 2 1/2 inches of coral sand...

any advice on helping me have a successful cycle?

Welcome. Just let your tank naturally do its thing for a month or so.

I read on your other post that you'll be using a canister filter. You'll want to make sure you clean it on a very regular basis as waste will build up in it and cause problems.

I'd add some fish food to help the cycle. Also I'd seriously consider getting rid of the canister, its a ticking time bomb of phosphates, IMO
