Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum but not new to the Reef hobby. I have been in the reef hobby for 28 years now and have learned a thing or two in that time. I am not normally a forum kind of guy but I though why not?!? If you have a question ask me. I don't mind sharing my experience and knowledge that I have gained over the years. After all why else are we in this hobby if we can't share what we have learned with each other? Even after all this time I make it a point to keep learning. You never know what you can learn from someone. Their experience will be different then yours and they will do things differently then you would.

My main tank is a 180 gallon mixed with SPS, LPS and soft corals with a 110 gallon sump and a 65 gallon frag tank. All plumed into one. I use a 50 gallon freshwater ATO RO top up tank to keep my salinity stable. I monitor and control my system with a Apex controller. My lights are three AI Hydra 52 LED. I posted some pictures below because I know how much people in this hobby enjoy a good picture. :)

Welcome:wave:

Can't help but mention what a beautiful Sacrcophyton that is. How long have you been using the Hydra52?

The Sacrcophyton is over a decade old. I actually got it as a small piece the size of a quarter on some live rock. It is about 16 inches tall and almost as wide around. I have been using the Hydra 52 for 7 months now and I love them. I used to use MH but I liked the flexibility of LED and the energy cuts it gave me. Plus no yearly bulb replacement is great.

Wow! That is a very nice looking tank!

Tank Is looking real nice.

How much of that tank water do you figure is drool from your guests admiring that beautiful aquarium?

I would say 6% but only because I take precautions. Like a splash guard and a chalk line on the floor 4 feet away from the tank. ;)
