Hi,
First time posting in a forum. Fairly new to the hobby. I am currently building a 75 gallon reef tank. I am using a fine sand just because i like the look better then the course sand. I am looking for suggestions on what i can use for flow that wont cause a constant sand storm.
Thanks

Welcome :-) without adding a small amount of larger grain sand on top I think you just have to hope it gets heavier as it gains bio.

Im planning on keeping mostly soft corals and a few sps wasnt sure if i kept the wave makers higher in the tank if that would help

It will help but you will collect more waste on and in your sand as well. :-(

I just assumed if you had trouble with pumps you would probably have trouble vacuuming without taking all of your sand as well. But yes if you can manage vacuuming that would do the trick
Couldnt that be taken care of with routine vaccuming

Welcome, get a gyre 130 and that pump will move a lot of water. I am running two which is over your budget. one should be fine though

There might be other ways. But I put a half inch of regular live sand on top of my 6 inches of oolitic sugar fine sand and it worked perfectly.
I think ill take your advice and add some larger grain on top thanks gor your input
