I'm brand new to the hobby and this hitchhiked in on a piece of live rock I bought from the pet store. I have a feeling I don't want this in my tank. Is this Aiptasia?? Sorry for the huge pictures.

Yes that is aiptasia.
Take superglue and when it pulls in glue the hole.
You will never see it again!

Awesome! Thanks guys!! I thought it looked familiar, just wanted a more experienced eye on it considering its the first time I've ever seen one irl.

They will release many new starts when threatened. I would blast it off itch hot water in the sink. Life will come back to that piece. They can really spread quickly popping up everywhere!
