OK, So I got a great deal on 3 Kessil A360WE's for my 60x24x30 185gl Acrylic tank & will be switching from 2 Current Orbit marine 48-60" lights. I was wondering what people who have these would recommend I use as a setting after I get everything acclimated. I don't have a controller like Apex but do have the spectral one for these lights. Also, I'm going to have to build something to hold them because the tank has a rim around the top that will not allow me to use their holders.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I run 3 on a 4x2x2 and run them for 12 hours a day with a 4 hour peak at 100% power 60% color. I will also let you know the Kessil has mounting options that will work with almost any tank. For eurobraced tanks like yours you can use the AP700 arm with stand mount.

Thanks for the lighting info.
I've seen those also but can't get behind my tank to mount them

What type of corals are you planning on keeping / already have? 3 over 60" will be quite an ask for them if you want to keep sps throughout the tank. That being said I run mine 15 hours a day at 100% for 10 hours max color at 50%. I have 6 over a 180 (6x2x2) and have them about 6" from the surface, don't be afraid to mount them close to the surface.

Mostly softy s are what I have, cant seem to keep anything else which is the reason for getting better lights.
Mushrooms, Zoas, Kenya Tree, Octospawn, pipe organ, nothing grows much though they do live. Some of the mushrooms have had little ones.
I would like to keep everything
3 is what Kessil recommended to me when I conversed with them

3 should be more than enough for those corals and sps near the top for sure. They are awesome lights, I'm a big fan of the spectral controller as well and the acclimation mode is helpful. These lights do not dim to 0% though, I have mine starting at 10% intensity so keep that in mind when you are setting up your program as the lights will go out before the end of your cycle if you dim them to 0, I just added an extra 15 minutes onto mine to compensate for this. The new 360x's will be able to dim to 0%.

I have 9 over my 5x5x3 tank. Mounted about 8" to 10" off the water. 70% 12 hrs 60% color. Im trying to not bleach the monti's I got that were not under LED. I mounted them to the ceiling on T track. Here is when I was setting it up. The white box holds the bricks with usb fans for cooling.

I wanted to mount from ceiling by wife said not no but H no, LOL

Three is certainly asking a lot of the A360; to cover 24" width, they'll need to be about 8" off the water to cover the width up high but PAR is going to be quite low at the bottom of the tank. Any way to add some T5 retrofits to fill in? Four T5s would make a big difference for you.

Not at this time. I asked twice about the dimensions to make sure.

Still have the Current Orbits to supplement? I like the A360s but three isn't a good recipe for success regardless of what Kessil (or whomever) recommended for this size tank.

Their still on my tank until I can figure out how to mount the Kessil's. I talked directly to Kessil
