New to pods

Just need to clear a few things up with pods

will they live and be fine in my marine pure blocks they are the 4x4x8 I have 2 ? I don’t have chaeto or light as of yet. Just making sure I don’t have to buy all that before I put them in sump

from my understanding all the detritus in the marine pure blocks should suffice? They also make little "pod hotels" that you can put in your sump and grow them out

I use marine pure bricks and balls and my pods are all over the place down there. I started with chaeto andthe chaeto didn’t work out but the pods stuck around.
