Hello everybody! Glad to say that i have finally found a forum that will actually send me an email to get my account active. So that alone is awesome. Now i consider myself new to the hobby yet i have had my tank up and running for a solid 8 months and in that time I have had a peppermint shrimp go missing ( think my crab at it) a nudibranch also think my crab ate it and only death i can report is my bicolor angel fish. I have in my dank 2 damsels that i have had in there just to see if the tank was cycled and they didnt die, a clownfish, sally lightfoot, and a mandarin. i have recently started adding corals as well and things have been growing and looking healthy. only problem that i have is that i can't seem to get my nitrate down to an appropriate level. i do regular water changes and keep my feeding to a schedule every couple days. I have a protein skimmer running as well but the levels are still high. some info or help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to R2R!! Would love to see pics of your setup and more info about the equipment.

Welcome to r2r. What filter system are you running?

my filter system is 2 HOB AquaClear 50 gallon filters. All my level are good tested last night and my pH was at 8.2 ammonia and nitrite were both 0 but my nitrates were at 10 which were at 20ppm before i did my water change. So im just trying to get a grasp on the nitrate situation so all my corals in the tank don't end up dying.
