New to R2R and saltwater fish

Hi, I am new to this site and retaliative new to having salt water tank, got a 29 bio cube from friend who kid who did not take care of it. started about a year and half ago I have brought it back from the dead.. I am 53 and have absolutely no experience I have never had fish of any kind before, just learning as i go and listening to people like the ones on here on what to do or not to do. And i love it !
This might be a silly question but,
on filter media , i use chemi pure in my filter media rack , now dose it matter if it is submerged under the water line or dose it have to be above it and have water trickle over it for it to work better ?

Water through the media, submerged in a media compartment or in a reactor is best. Contact time and flow is important.

Welcome to R2R!!! As other have said, Chemi Pure is better in high flow area for best results. Are you using Chemi Pure Blue?
