Hey all,

My name is Marc. New to the community. Done freshwater for over 30 years. Came across a 125 gallon reef ready tank with all equipment included for $300. The deal was too good to pass up. Have no clue what to do just yet but I'm getting up there in age having just turned 50 and figured it was time to make the switch to saltwater. Hoping to learn a lot but I'm not even sure how to set up this filtration system. Only think I know is it has a protein skimmer. I'm looking to doing a reef tank so I'm gonna take it slow and learn as much as I can on here.

Welcome to the community hopefully you enjoy it here. There's lots of great information in the sticky threads to learn from. Also there's always someone that's willing to help however we can. You're starting right by collecting knowledge and going slow.

Welcome to R2R!!! Some pictures may help members to help out with the filter.
As soon as I get home, I'll be sure to post some pics. I think it's an old school one with bio balls. Contemplating switching to sock type unless it's an unnecessary expense
