Not only new to R2R but this whole forum/thread thing as well. So please excuse my "noobness" while I catch on. Me and my tanks... My name is Tyler, and I'm 27 years old. I graduated high school, joined the US Marine Corps and did two deployments to Fallujah, Iraq. I did my four years, EAS'd as a Sergeant, got a great job, bought a beautiful house and became completely and utterly obsessed with reef keeping! Oh, and got married somewhere amidst all the earlier stated chaos. So obsessed that my entire right leg is currently being tattooed into a coral reef! On to the TANKS. It all started roughly a year and a half ago. I bought myself a crummy 55 gallon long saltwater setup from Petco on a whim. Without the slightest idea on how to keep/ care one. Although the time invested, money invested, and the reward were all good motivators to learn... Quickly... That tank was an awesome learning experience, and the beginning of my love for the hobby. After that came a species specific 29 Gal Bio Cube, I picked myself up a still healthy and thriving frog fish! I am currently putting together what I hope to be my masterpiece. 100 Gal Cad Lights Artisan II rimless aquarium, two AI Vega Colors, Reef Octopus PS-2000, Reef octopus Bio Pellet Reactor and 2 Hydor Evo 1400's. (soon to be replaced by 2 Mp40's) Livestock includes... A mated pair of Ora snowflakes, red mandarin, spotted mandarin, and a golden Midas Benny. With more to come soon as well. As for coral it's a wide variety of sps, lps, and zoas/palys. I guess that's about it! Cheers and happy reefing!
