Hello there, My name is Adam I live in Buckeye, Arizona - just outside of the Phoenix area. I just started my saltwater tank about a month ago now and I am hooked. I have a 65 gallon rectangle tank running a Marineland C360 Canister filter, and UV sanitizer light, 1 Hydor 1150 and coralife lighting with day and night bulbs. Started my tank off with live Caribbean sand, live rock and also used some dry rock. Everything is going great, my tank just started blooming some brown algae but I know thats part of the cycle. I want to make it a reef tank so i have been adding reef brew to the water to get some good stuff going. Thinking of switching over to a sump setup soon. I took over the tank from being used from a little old lady who couldn't care for it anymore so it was all in great condition but the filter is leaking a little and instead of replacing the canister I would rather just do a sump since I am planning a reef setup. I have 4 damsels, 2 clowns, 1 red firefish, 4 peppermint shrimp, and about 8 hermits and 4 sails. Any advice anyone is willing to share would be awesome!

Welcome to r2r. Definitely go with a sump if you can it helps a lot for filtration. You'll be able to run a nice skimmer n any other equipment you want can be kept in sump area not hanging on the tank. Let's see some pictures of it.

Wanted to just get a quick pic in for you guys. Have it going with night lights right now. A little cloudy just got done doing a little cleaning on the glass for some brown algae growing but it's starting to clear up over the last few days. I have 2 clowns, 1 red firefish, 4 damsels (just got those to get the tank going), 1 dragon goby, 4 peppermint shrimp, several snails and hermits as well.
