Hey Guys. I have been reading threads on R2R for years as a result of simple Google searches regarding reefing questions.

I have been in the Hobby since the summer of 2010 and have had many ups and downs.

I finally got off my lazy butt today to make a R2R account. I just want to say hello to everyone and thank R2R for all the valuable information I acquired from R2R through out the years. =D

I currently have a 80 gallon 40x40x12 w x l x h shallow mixed reef that is SPS dominated. Most of the tank inhabitants are transfer over from my old reef tank when I downgraded in size.

Thanks guys! I don't have any good pics of my setup yet but here are some random pics. This is a full shot of my system from outside of my patio looking into my house

Random shots of my tank. I hope I don't get flamed by the tang police for my naso. I know I will have to get rid of him when the time comes but he is fat and happy for now. Between a full time job and two very young children I have managed to keep a very simple setup with nothing fancy really. I kept a 200 gallon previously and downgraded to this tank a few months ago.

Well, it's about time! :D:D:D

Welcome to R2R Brother.

I'd suggest starting a Member's Tank thread and document your tank. It's great going back after a couple years and seeing all the changes.

Again, Welcome.

My worst fears have been confirmed today. I have suspected Aefw for some months now. I have been loosing single colonies one at a time, never having two colonies die at the same time. I suspected pests so I started dipping my acros in Bayer in search of aefw but could not find any. I took some pictures of my acros last night lights out with hopes of capturing pictures of some pest or anything. I asked my friend Diesel to review some of the pictures for me today and he did confirm it was Aefw. He gave me some treatment advice and suggested I start a thread on here. So that is what prompted my introduction today.
