*Welcome to Reef2Reef @SaltwaterTeabag !* I have had hit and miss success with those fancy sponges and sea whips. The best advice I could give is to feed a high quality frozen food formulated for filter feeders. Many sponges must be kept in the shade and well feed.I am looking for Sea whip advice myself so be certain to post your question again in another area of the forum for more input! My fellow [HASHTAG]#REEFSQUAD[/HASHTAG] members may also have some tips.

I've had good luck with gorgonians and sponges by keeping medium to high flow and lots of feedings with very small particle foods. When I say "good luck" I mean I've only lost one or two and the rest arn't covered in algae and their polyps come out at least once a day. It's nothing amazing or special by any means. If they get covered in algae, I've noticed that's the beginning of the end for them.
