Hello! I am new to R2R and I want to post some detailed pics of my tank. I am very excited to learn more about this community and grow in the hobby. I have been reefing for a little over a year now. I had a fish only system years ago, so I just got back into the hobby and decided to keep corals, and quite frankly, I am extremely addicted! I never thought I would be one of those hobbyists who look at fish in the background while I pay more attention to corals.

It's a beautiful rabbit hole to get lost in, and I've learned a lot about myself along the way. Reefing is a very positive thing in my life right now. I am battling addiction, and the hobby helps me achieve balance. I really do not know where I would be if I didnt have the constant conversation with myself about brainstorming whatever is best for my reef. I really hope to meet a lot of people on this site, and I am excited to learn more about this fantastic hobby.

Tank - Waterbox 40.2
Age 1.5 years

Light - Kessil 360we w/ Mouting Arm
ATO - XP Duetto
Salt - Red Sea Coral Pro - WC = 8 gallons every 10 days.
Sand - Caribsea Aragonite Special Grade LS
Aquascape - 15 lbs of LR + 15 lbs of Caribsea LifeRock

Livestock
BW Ocellaris Clownfish
Cleaner Shrimp
2 Hermit Crabs
Purplehaze Montipora
Sunset Montipora
Elegance Coral, which my clownfish is hosting ;)
Blastomussa Merletti
Hydnophora Essa
Candy Cane Trumpet Coral
Kenya Tree

The tank was just recently upgraded from a 12g, so more livestock will be added in the future. I feed the clownfish one a day, alternate from hikari pellets and frozen mysis. I feed the corals amino acids daily, and reef chili every 3 days. The light period is 9 hours a day, no fancy sunrises or sunsets because I dont have a controller.

I keep things really simple, but am feeling myself getting pulled to more gear. I will probably get a Tunze 9004 skimmer, and start dosing Brightwells Reef Code. Thanks for tuning in, I am excited to see what this community has to offer!
