Afternoon reefers, my name is Daniel and I'm new to R2R. I've been in the freshwater world for 20+ years and just in the last few years started dabbling in the sw realm. I currently have an IM Fusion 10 nano that I've had hit or miss success with. Nothing seems to thrive or die off for the most part, they just exist. I haven't kept the best maintenance schedule in the past year or so with remodeling our first home, but that's in the past and I'm looking at moving forward.

I thoroughly enjoy watching youtube reefers share their experiences and after hearing BRS mention R2R so many times lately I thought that this would be a great place to jump in and get some good advice on the hobby. Years ago I was a very active member on a piranha forum and enjoyed the social aspect of forums.

I look forward to getting to know folks on here.
Welcome to R2R Daniel. Lots of knowledgable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed.

Nice tank! Welcome! Do you regret going barebottom?

At times I do miss the look of sand but with this size tank I don't have any fish that require it and I believe that it helped with maintenance. I'm going to be setting up a 45g cube soon and I will be using sand simply for the look and the fact that my wife really wants a diamond goby.
