Hello Everyone. I am new to Reef2Reef. I am always looking for a place to share knowledge and practices around this obsession of mine.

I have four SW tanks; a 92 Gal corner bow front, a 72 gal bow front, 29 gal BC and an 8 gal BC. My first SW experience was in college ( around 1986) with a 2 gal nano with a nem and clown. One of the jobs I had was working at a pet shop in town.... I was amazed at the beautiful SW fish... but also blown away about how much they cost.... and how often they died... I kept my clown and nem in the 2 gal nano for a year....and then upgraded to a 5 gal....then moved up to a 10 gal....all over the course of three years.

Now... all these years later.... things kind of gotten crazy with the four tanks I have. My passion right now is my 92 gal corner bow. It is in my home office where I spend way too much time everyday. It is not uncommon for me to do a webex call with video where colleagues will ask about the fish swimming behind me. When I am not on video... and not actively participating... I am usually doing something to the tank. Cleaning... tweaking... feeding... testing....etc. It is a great distraction...It keeps me sane in this insane world....

Welcome, I too use my tank as a distraction. A getaway, if you will. Nice collection, post some pics if you can

Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?

Welcome to R2R! Thanks for joining and please make sure and post often!

Thanks Everyone! I appreciate the welcome.

As requested here is a FTS I just took. As you will see I am not the best at taking pictures. I did some rockscaping this weekend and added some dead rock to the left side. I am going to do the same on the right side in a week or so. Thanks Eric the Red for the rock! I also introduced three new fish to the tank... a Convict and Mimic Tang.... as well as a Cleaner Wrasse. I also added some new coral frags from BattleCorals, Red Milli, Rose Mili, Yellow/Green Slimmer, Pearlberry and some no name....SPS. Well... I guess they have a name...I just forgot them. Thanks Adam for some nice Frags! I am hoping they take off!

Ha.... Ole Pro..... No... I just have learned I will never know it all... This is a hobby that as soon as you get comfortable with something...thinking you have it all figured out... something rears up and bites you in the "****"....

That said.... it is very cool to see how this hobby is evolving. The last couple of years has been wild with new technollgy like Bio Pellets.... LED Lighting.... Controllers.... that on one hand make keeping these tanks easier... and then on the other hand....add new challenges. For instance my 92 Gal Bow Front is giving me headaches.... It is the first tank I have done with a bare bottom... with LED lighting... Instead of dealing with nutrients in the water... I am dealing with the nuances of having an Ultra Low Nutrient (ULN) system.... Things were going really well....when wham.... I started loosing corals. It turns out that having an ULN system has some hurdles one must negotiate. I missed the fine print and lost a few colonies. Frankly I am still playing catch up.

Sorry for the long winded reply.
