New to Reef/Saltwater

So I’m setting up a 75gallon glass with drilled overflow. I’m looking to do a mixed reef and fish. I need help with choosing light decent priced and all sump stuff everything

Welcome to R2R!! :)

I have a 75 Gallon with an Aquaticlife T5 Hybrid with 2 Radions.

1st off welcome to R2R!!.
Depending on your budget, there are tons of options. From LED to T5 to Metal Halide or as mentioned above a combination or any or all.
As for sumps, there are many brands of premade or for the more budget minded, DIY kits are available for many of the common off the shelf tank sizes.
Personally, I run Radions on both my tanks. My big tank has a custom sump I had made. My smaller 120 has a sump made by IceCap. It's the 36Xl and has tons of features at a very reasonable price.

Seth, I'm sure any number of people here would be willing to offer help (including me). But it would be helpful if we had more info or you asked more specific questions.

Do you have a preference in lights (MH, t5 fluorescents, led, hybrids)?
Do you have a budget or cost in mind?
Some fixtures are very basic (on/off), some have built-in timers, some have dimmers, some have sunrise/sunset abilities and some have color control. But the costs go up exponentially as you add in more features. And other than being a strong enough light source to keep your corals happy, most of the rest of these features are for human desires and not so much for the benefit of your corals.

As for the sump:
Do you already have the basic sump (tank)?
What all are you interested in having in the sump? A return pump, refugium, a skimmer, filter socks, a reactor for GFO, carbon and/or phosphate reduction?

Good luck.

Hey there and Welcome, I started out with a lot of economy components, and later upgrading or replacing. Lights are a touchy subject and it comes down to budget and preference. I have settled on The Aquatic Life Hybrid with 2 Kessel 360's for my 75 gallon (48")Hope that helps, Good Luck!

Just everything all advice nothing is wrong or right I do research and have ideas just more or less seeing others input.

Welcome to R2R. What’s your budget if I missed is sorry but it will give us a starting point
So right now I bought a 40 gallon breeder with baffle kit. I’ll be running a two 4” sock/filter cup with filter floss a ASM G1 skimmer a Refugium with and M1 return pump. My lights I’m stuck on because I know with the M1 return pump Radions are compatible but I heard the 200w razor is good I like the kessil 700AP and also the AI I like the programming leds that can do sunrise, Sunset and moonlight but I guess not sure if things having the compatibility is worth the cost over something like the kessil 700AP.

I run a ai prime hd and love it. Not sure about compatibility but check out ai hydras really nice light

yeah I’ve checked em out but I’d need at least two of Radion 26 or two of the AI hydras but the cost for two is way more than the Kessil 700AP so it comes down to the compatibility lol

Lights are painful up front, But you wont regret it the long term if you choose wisely. FYI several ap700 owners regret their decision (interface), The new Big 3 are 360X, radions, and Hydras, all compatible with t5-Hybrid. You could start out with the t5 fixture $299. and add led's down the road, that would also save you on LED mounting HWD .

Might look into that
