Hello, im very new to the reef tank, i used to have a 75 gallon tank with a hanging filter and hob skimmer, i recently switch to the waterbox 130.4 and i got the vortex pump and octo regal skimmer, i use a cup instead of a sock filter with floss in them and carbon as well. I have rocks and some hammer and torch and of course fishes, everything seems fine, but its been a month and my water is cloudy, i did put new sand and water in from the beginning. I did a water change twice already but it seem like its getting more cloudy, got the water tested and the fish place told me the water is fine. Should i be worries? Am i doing something wrong?

So you know if you used live sand? It can take a day or two with the clarity packets to clear up. You could try running some sock 100-micron filters instead of the filter floss to see if this helps clear things up.

Try a filter sock in lieu of cup as a test and also switch to chemipure blue Verus the carbon.
Are you running a skimmer?
On Tests- what test kit are you and the LFS using ?

Any pics of tank under white lighting ?

I used live sand and the guy from the fish store set it up for me and i dont think he left the clarity packets in there… i only found out couple days later. Its been almost a month now since its been set up

Carbon should be good
Try to see what the LFS is using for testing
I’m suspecting possibly false reading results
