Hey pretty new to the hobby and i purchased some coral after a month of letting my tank cycle. In the tank i have 2 clown fish, 1 melanarus wrasse, a cleaner shrimp and 4 different snails all in a 15 gallon nano tank. In terms of coral i have mostly zoas, hammers and a frogspawn. On one of the hammers i noticed some kind of pest growing on its stem, i successfully picked them off but after putting it back in the tank it seems to be on the decline, it wasnt looking too happy to begin with but now its getting worse. I also purchased a cristata but it has yet to open up in the last 2 days.
These r the water parameters
Salinity - 1.025
Amm .25 !
Nitrite - 1 !
Nitrate 0 !
Mg - 1440 !
Alk - 12.6 !
Cal - 490 !
If it has a ! That means im aware those numbers are not ideal for a reef tank which they are all messed up lol my question is would a water change fix most of my problems and how does one go about lowering the mag alk and cal levels?
Also im dosing a small amout of water conditioner to try to lower the ammonia and nitrite levels
I know its a lot so thank u in advance for any advice
