Hey there everyone,

I'm new here and just wanted to say hello!

I've been an aquarist for roughly 30 years. Most of those years were spent on freshwater fish. I had a brief 3 year marine vacation. Kept a predator tank with triggers and lions. Also tried out a reef tank for about 3 months with little success. Went back to freshwater and on to planted tanks. My current planted tank is a 46 gallon bow front high-tech tank; high light and co2. And then I decided to give reefing a go again.

I've taken my time in order to learn everything I could and have seen really great success so far with my reef tanks.

I decided that my first foray into reefing would be to go small to get my feet wet. Had a fluval edge 6 gallon sitting around so I set it up and gave it a go. Well, before you know it the thing is completely filled up and I got tired of having such a small access hole to work with. So I bought a 10 gallon. Needless to say I quickly ran out of room in that tank as well lol! Finally I bought a 27 gallon marine land cube and am finally content with it.

Hopefully everyone's still awake after reading this lol, I almost fell asleep writing it! I look forward to being able to share whatever knowledge I can and hope to be a valued member of this community!

We all run out of room at some point :)

We're glad to have you here! I would love to see pics of your setup.

Do you have all thee tanks going or did you break each down as you upgraded?

Running out of room is a pretty good problem to have! At least it means you have a lot of coral!
Welcome!

Hello and welcome to R2R! You have gone through quite the journey...thanks for sharing. Probably a good thing you upgraded. Bigger is usually easier as far as maintaining stability. Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks everyone!

The only reef I have going right now is the 27 gallon. That and the 46 gallon planted.

Looks like this there is a lot of good info and advice on this site and I'm glad to have joined!

I will start a build thread very soon. I have a lot of running around to do right now so look out for that.
