Good Morning all!

I am new to reef2reef. I am looking forward to reading & getting involved with the forum discussions. I love the hobby of fish tanks and have had various tanks throughout the years. Recently, I share the hobby of a saltwater tank with my boyfriend. We have spent the past nine or so months with a 14 gallon nano cube. Its been an interesting learning experience to watch the fish & corals develop and watching their habits, what food they like, what lighting they like, and all the algae & mysterious things that just appear out of the live rock. Soon we are upgrading to a 40 gallon, cant wait for that! How did you start your saltwater hobby? What corals & fish do you have stocked?

Welcome to Reef 2 Reef. I started in 1977 in Okinawa. I'd catch things and put them in a tank I had in my barracks "cube". I'd change almost all the water out every week like you would do with freshwater. Saltwater keeping has come a long way since then.

welcome to the forum! I have a 65 gallon tank with various fish and mostly soft corals.

Welcome! Awesome to have you guys I would love to see done pictures of your tank!

I have a 50cube (with my GF) it is about 2 months old with a pair of oce clowns, and a few beginner corals

Thanks everyone for the welcome!! Sounds like you all have some good tanks and similar start ups. It sure is an addicting hobby. Right now, we seem to have more corals than fish, but with the change to the 40gal, the amount of fish will change, and so will the number of corals

Nice, my fiancé and I started our 12 gallon nano in May and now we are about to set up a 29 gallon. Pretty random how we got into the reef hobby, no real reason haha just thought it was cool. Now we are obsessed. Anywho I just signed up today, too. See you around :)

*Welcome to the forum!* Best of luck with your upgrade! My husband and I enjoyed freshwater aquariums for years.Shortly after he started working at the local fish store he decided to start a 55 gallon salt water display. Now we are swimming in tanks.I currently have three mixed reef nano tanks.I have yet to compile a complete "stock" list.My favorite fish is my Melanarus wrasse. My favorite corals are LPS.However I recently have been successful with Acropora and I find myself wanting to collect more.
