Hello,
My name is Dennis Reynolds and I have owned and operated Aqua Marines for 36 years. Aqua Marines is a wholesale buying service for all your saltwater livestock. We hand select our specimens from the major wholesalers in the Los Angeles area and ship them to retail stores in the United States. By doing this we are able to select only the highest quality livestock and our variety is unsurpassed because of the vast number of suppliers in the LA area. Unlike a stocking wholesaler we do not own our specimens just because they are in our holding facility. If we don't like a particular specimens we don't have to ship it because we own it. We have the luxury of going to another supplier or not shipping it because it doesn't meet our high standards. We are able to be competitive with our prices because of the volume discounts we receive from our suppliers.
I have a Masters degree in Marine Biology and have traveled extensive around the world to collect specimens and learn all sides of our complex industry. However, I do not currently maintain a saltwater aquarium and have not had one for many years. I am currently trying to get caught up on all the latest, ever changing, technology involved in being successful in saltwater husbandry. The main reason I want to be up to date on as much knowledge as possible is so I can know or find the answers to the myriad of questions my customer are always throwing at me. I read every thread posted on REEF2REEF and while it is overwhelming at times I feel that it is the most valuable source of information available to the novice and professional hobbyist that has ever been presented in our industry.
