Hey everyone !
My names Jason and I thought I would introduce Myself to the forums. (finally)
I have enjoyed a longtime passion for this hobby and all the ocean has to offer. I would enjoy looking at marine life of all types, in books as a child to finally owning some damsel fish in the 4th grade(1998). Then eventually to other attempts at re-creating a reef.
My first 'Larger' tank was a 60 gallon long filled with caulerpa algeas and three fish.
A large goldstripe maroon clown, a yellow angel and finally a latticed butterfly fish,
Or chaetodon rafflesi. These fish lived well in this tank for several years before I wanted to move onto different things.
Then the Clam bug bit Me and I started buying the higher intensity lights and learning about Calcium, alk, magnesium, and the others a bit more.
Sadly I do not have any more clams and have since gotten out of coral and the like until just recently. The only critters I still have from the first 60 gallon is that Maroon clownfish and a large green brittle starfish.
My current setup is a 75 gallon 4' x 2' x 16" tall. With a small blue tang, a Hawaiian blue boxfish and three Rhinopias. I have yet to download pics however so those will be coming shortly.
I have many other hobbies as well. Such as keeping and breeding geckos, freshwater aquaria, mycology, gardening, relaxing xD !
Hope to finally meet everyone on the forums !
Kind regards,
Jason C.
