Hello everybody. I am new to reefing. I have a Fluval evo with 2 clowns, a cleaner shrimp and 4 snails. I seem to be having some sort of algae issue which I’m struggling to resolve. I would like to know people’s opinions. The tank is 3 months old. Anyone’s help would be greatly appreciated

That looks like a 3 month old tank to me. Struggling to keep algae out, then drain it and call it quits. Otherwise, embrace natural ecological successions as this isn't half bad and it usually gets worse before it gets better.

"See the receptionist on your way out and schedule a follow-up appointment with me in 6 months."

Fellow newbie here. Mine looked the same. Cleared up in about 2 weeks. These 2 photos are 2 weeks apart

mines be like this for around a month. I have read about the ugly phases and I’m willing to ride it out. It just doesn’t seem to be getting better

What kind of clean up crew do you employ?
2 trochus, 1 conch, 2 nassarius (sp?), 1 peppermint shrimp, 4 blue legged hermits, 1 emerald crab, and abt 1,356,724 copepods. Slight exaggeration on the copepods.

How long do u run your lights for? I cut the white light down to 4 hours and that helped reduce the growth, allowing my cuc to catch up

I run the light roughly 6–8 hours at the moment but I’ll get that a try. Thank you
