New to reefing and a ? Regarding shrooms

Greetings. Long time, with some gaps, freshwater guy finally getting into reefs (my plan all along but life etc.).

Starting with an IM 37 about 3.5 months old and developing nicely (can only say that because of the many recommendations on here to be patient and "it takes time"). Have a few frags starting (colt, trumpet, mushroom, GSP and a pulse coral) all with plenty of room to grow! Also, 2 damsels, an algae Blenny and CUC of snails and 3 emeralds.

My question on the mushroom is how to get it off of a rock. The foot seems to be well established down a hole. Can these be safely pulled out somehow? The rock has revealed about 8 aptasia (sp) (one alarmingly large) and my desire would be to move the mushroom so I can pull the rock for special, aggressive treatment of the pests in isolation.

Knowledge and suggestions greatly appreciated.

mushrooms are very similar to amenonees. you can try placing a frag plug next to its foot and see if it will walk up on there. Otherwise, you will need to scrape a bit of rock away with it.
