Hello, My name is Robert.
I made the switch from freshwater co2 injected planted tanks to saltwater about a year ago (thought it would be easier......i was wrong). Just now starting to build the reef.
Currently its a Red Sea 350 with a Maxspect Gyre for circulation and the RL90's for lighting.
Finding out the Gyre is creating Waaaayyyyy to much flow for the tank and had to turn it as low as possible so switching it out to an MP40. And switching the lights out to Rapid Led Corona's.
For the control box its an apex with the apex ato (had growing pains at first but they finally fixed the dang firmware) and an apex core-15 return pump.
Filtration is a small Chaeto section with a Kessil H80 for the fugelight and a Red Sea RSK-600 skimmer.
The Goal is a mixed tank with some SPS at the top.

Welcome to the Reef. I have an RSR350 too, and I've really enjoyed it. I hope you start a build thread so we can watch. Also if you haven't checked it out there is a thread on here for Red Sea tank owners to share tips and tricks, and also ask for help on specific things about the tank.

I just finished the build thread for what it is currently

Hey! Welcome! I made the switch from hitech planted as well and while it's more work, I feel like it's a LOT more rewarding. My planted was at the point where I manually dosed daily and refilled the co2 and that was essentially all I had to do at all (didn't even feed the fish), I'm definitely not quite there with the reef tank
