When I first started reefing. It was all about the fish. Then a small Blastomusa frag came into my life and changed it all.
I by no measure would consider myself an expert.. but after having a tank up for 18 months without a single fish death.. I would encourage all new people's to QT.
I visited a LFS and saw as a dad spent 1500 on a 45 gallon setup with crazy expensive fish for his kids...
My gripe is that family could have potentially been a new assist to our community. Instead of a negative experience.
I was almost going to intervene but I hate being that guy at the LFS who discourages sales for the store.
Maybe Stores could offer to QT for customers for a fee. Yeah I hated waiting but after rescuing my Surf Tang and seeing him thrive.. I really sometimes feel LFS should have some accountability as examples puppy mills.
