New member. I have a hex acrylic 35 gallon fish only tank for a little over 3 years. I want to upgrade to REEFING. I have been slowly changing tank parameters to more suit corals. Added a DIY CO2 chemical scrubber for my skimmer air intake and am pulling outside air in. Upped the PH from 7.7 to 8.3. Purchased Potassium, Alk, Calcium test kits and balanced those readings with newly purchased additives. Purchased new reef appropriate lights from Currant. (Orbit Marine LED Pro) Other equipment: Eshopps S-120 skimmer, Currant efflux DC return pump, Currant efflux wave pumps (just one), Eshopps hang-on-the-back overflow/ATO box and a DIY 10 gallon sump.

Welcome to R2R and great job on the introduction post! It looks like you are off to a good start! Read through the sticky threads at the top of each of the subforums (especially the "New to Saltwater and Reef Aquariums"), keep asking questions, watch the BRS 52 Weeks of Reefing videos on YouTube, and continue to engage with the R2R community.

I don't know anything about corals. I have been reading up on reef tank setup only so far. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
According to the light you stated you purchased, and the height of that tank you can keep LPS no problem. Now if you are planning to add more rock to lessen the distance then you "may" be able to do some SPS.

Your saying I have the wrong light. Can you recommend one for this tank?

I didnt say you have the wrong light. The light matches what you want to keep. I can recommend a light but i would need to know what tou want to keep, budget, etc

Welcome to reef 2 reef. Do what I do on corals, pick the pretty one you like. Just kidding, there lots of good info here for easier corals to start with.
