Hello all! My name is Daniel, for years I’ve had freshwater aquariums, my current planted tank has been running for 5+ years and 4 months ago I decided to jump into reefing. For my first tank, I’m starting small with a 45 gallon sump-less tank with HOB equipment. Having a career in IT, I love the technology in this hobby, right now I’m loving my AI Nero and see some Primes in my future. I have learned tons, mainly from these forums. I have only been in for 4 months and have already met many challenges, my most recent being a tough fight with dino which I seem to be winning thanks to some very helpful threads on there.

Welcome to R2R and thank you for your introduction! It looks like you are off to a good start. As you suggested, this starting time is the time to focus on learning as much as you can about water quality, cycling your tank, dealing with the "uglies" so as you start to add fish and corals you will be more confident to handle the challenges that come with them. Be patient and take it slow as you work toward a beautiful mature tank. We're glad you're here!
