New to reefing

I just got a Red Sea max 650 and setting it up. Not 100% sure which part of the sump the protein skimmer should be. There are 2 areas that are possible. Can someone identify which one.

Welcome to R2R!!!

Not familiar with the RC 650, BUT, I would guess it would be the section after the returns. Usually the skimmer is after the filter sock section. It would be the second section of the sump.

Again, I am not familiar with the RS sump.
