Hello all,
I have been keeping marine fish for over 30 yrs.
But I am fairly new to inverts..my latest 30 gal tank with 20 gal sump has been up for about 2 yrs and is doing fine.
Currently there are about 6 small fish, 8 small soft corals, 4 snails and 4 hermit crabs.
I didn't use live rock, but Carib sea life rock instead.

I have a fair amount of scratches and a few hazy patches on my glass.
I was considering replacing this tank with a new one.

I have about 1/2" to 3/4 " of sand on the bottom.
Am looking for advice on removing the sand, rinsing it and putting it in the new tank.
Is this advisable ? Or should I simply add new sand to the new tank ?
I have my spillover feeding a container filled with one gallon of MarinePure sphere bio media in my sump, so I am hoping I have enough of a bio bed.

Not sure how to filter the excess actinic out of the shot..not really that blue.

Thanks,
Greg

Welcome !!!

Personally I wouldn’t remove the sand and not sure as to why you would want to !

welcome aboard the r2r board! you can get a phone camera adapter to have yellow and orange lenses to filter out the blue in photos!
