I changed the title name to hopefully get a better response. I've never used the MP's so I can't be much help.

Typically what you'd want to do is put them from across from each other at a level that will not move the sand very much if at all but still have flow to keep detritus from building up on the sand and at the same time not blast corals directly in front of the power heads. It's kind of a balancing act between max flow for the whole tank and not beating up your corals. A bit of placement experimentation is what you will have to go through, every tank will be different in terms of shape, size and rock placement. Another trick to help see your flow is to take a stick, whether plastic or wood, and tie a string to it and move it around the tank and you can see the flow easier, like a wind sock but underwater.

Got yeah I was saying on on left side one on right side. I'll try the stick thing tho it sounds smart

Here’s mine. I’ve got two MP40’s on one end of a 140 peninsula tank. Gets enough flow to the opposite end. If you’d like the gyre effect, stick them both on one side.

Also, I’d turn them down at night. You’re blasting the tank when the lights are off. I run mine at 20% when my Radions go out then start reefcrest early morning.
