So my 29g biocube is currently cycling and I believe im about two weeks away from it being ready for fish and ice been looking into what kind of light to get. Currently thinking about an SB reef light 16". Also running the tank without a lid

That'll work nice. I have one on my 30 cube and love it.
The ramping one with timers. I HIGHLY reccomend ramping models. Much more fun overall. You can get a little longer viewing time as well using a little less light intensity and and longer time.
I have the ramping model that's no longer avail able. I've herd the wifi programming can be a bit clunky to use.
