I have 50 gallon brute can that I am now using for making ro water for top off and water changes.

I have made ro water and the water stays sitting in the can in my garage. There is no movement and the water sits in a garage that gets up to 85-90 degrees.

If the water sits for a few weeks how bad is that. Even if it’s covered?

I haven’t seen anything growing and the water is crystal clear and looks fine.

Anyone have experience or drawback to using the water for top off and water changes?

You should be fine with a few thoughts for consideration. Personally I would add an air stone using a small air pump. Additionally, check the TDS/conductivity to make sure that it is at 0. Finally, keeping the water at 85-90F temperature is fine, but you will want to make sure the water is at (or near) the tank temperature before you add it to your system. Good luck!
